A little bit about us...

We are a little craft shop situated in Acocks Green, Birmingham - although we are small we are big on enthusiasm!

Opening in 2013 we started off as just a bead shop and called ourselves All Beady Eyed but we soon expanded into the sewing sector and decided to change our name to reflect this! Beads in homage to our beginnings, Bobbins to incorporate the haberdashery area and Boutique because quite frankly we make so many beautiful items it would be daft not to sell them too!

Beads

We wouldn't have been a good bead shop without a good choice of beads now would we?!

Bobbins

Our haberdashery department is ever expanding! We hold a good selection of sewing accessories and we are always adding to it - so please keep checking back and if there is anything you need that you can't readily find on this site, then please do get in touch with us and we'll do our very best to accommodate.

Boutique

It would be difficult to be surrounded by such wonderful materials and not feel inspired to make anything wouldn't it?!

Our boutique section is where we like to show off and sell all our handmade goods - whether it be jewellery, goods for the home; particularly our ever popular crystal window charms or our handsewn goods such as the beautifully made handbags - you will find a fine selection within the Gallery tab.

Due to Covid-19 the below is for information purposes and these services will only be resumed once Lockdown is lifted and Government Guidance allows us to reinstate them.

But that's not all we do...

As well as being a shop full of all your craft wants; we also provide a number of other services.

Regular Make & Take Craft Sessions *suspended whilst Covid-19 restrictions are in place.
Sewing Tuition.
Jewellery Parties - whether it be for a little one's birthday celebration (or not so little!) or a group get together in a relaxed environment or even for an alternative Hen Party!
Jewellery Repair Service - for that piece of jewellery you're just not ready to part with.
And lastly but not least - we offer a Customisation Service. From making jewellery pieces to a specific colour/design, to a crafty item that will fit just perfectly into your home or even a card with the personal touch - we thrive on a challenge!

Craft Sessions

Are you looking to join in with a group of friendly craft enthusiasts? Then look no more, this is the place!

We hold regular craft sessions on Saturdays 11am to 1pm and 2:30pm to 4:30pm. Whether it is papercrafting or jewellery making, mixed media or crocheting there is sure to be something of interest for you.

Sewing Tuition

With the return of 'The Great British Sewing Bee' to our TV screens, there has been a resurgence in the amount of people wanting to make their own clothes...if the show picqued your interest but you are unsure on how to begin dressmaking, then let us show you how!

Guided by Carole who has many (many) years of experience with sewing, help can be given should it be your first time at using a sewing machine or if you want assistance in choosing the right material for the right pattern for the right project!

Jewellery Parties

At Beads & Bobbins Boutique we actively encourage the younger generation to find their creative side and what better way to do this than to host a jewellery party - perfect for a unique birthday celebration!

But of course we don't show any discrimation - jewellery making parties are great for absolutely anyone between the ages of 7 and 107!!

For the hen party with a difference to group participation activities, within the shop our dedicated crafting area would be all the inspiration you need.

Jewellery Repairs

Within the shop premises we offer a jewellery repair service for those most treasured pieces - don't discard your favourite necklace with the broken chain or the bracelet that matched perfectly with everything whose elastic has snapped!

Bring your item to the shop and we will assess whether it is feasible to be repaired and if we find we are unable to help we will most certainly point you in the right direction to others who may be able to better assist.
